RSS change

Not to be considered a hypocrite, I’ve changed my RSS feed to only show an excerpt and link back to the full article, ala Zeldman.

Hrm. Well, your RSS feed is indeed standards compliant; unfortunately, it’s so bare of content as to go unnoticed in the hundreds I read each day on the bus.
I’ve read a couple of your articles regardless, and it occurs to me to ask if you’ve considered implemented the individual article template inside the RSS feed — such that the visual resemblance between an individual article’s page on your site and an article’s HTML in the RSS feed is similar, if not exactly so.
I’ll try to remember to come back and read up on your articles again someday — but it’s very hard to distinguish yet another excerpt-driven feed from all the rest. Your content is incredibly valuable, which makes this doubly frustrating. Perhaps someday there’ll be a better workflow for this process; until then, I bid you good luck.
